Manager - AI & Application Security

About the role

The Manager – AI & Application Security will lead the security programme for both traditional applications and AI‑enabled solutions across Bupa Arabia’s enterprise landscape. The role ensures that security standards, governance processes and secure development practices are embedded throughout the software lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the Application and AI Security governance framework, aligning it with corporate cybersecurity, privacy and risk management policies.
• Conduct threat modelling and architecture reviews for business applications, APIs, cloud‑native services and AI use cases, identifying risks such as prompt injection, model misuse and data leakage.
• Embed security requirements into the Secure SDLC and DevSecOps pipelines, establishing security gates and providing guidance on secure coding, secrets management and dependency handling.
• Oversee application security testing (SAST, DAST, API testing, container scanning, SCA) and manage vulnerability remediation across development and operations teams.
• Assess AI solutions for cybersecurity, privacy, legal and data‑protection risks, and advise on mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of experience in application security, DevSecOps or AI security within regulated environments.
• Proven ability to design and enforce security governance, conduct threat modelling and manage vulnerability remediation.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with development, infrastructure and cybersecurity stakeholders.
