Manager - Expansion

About the role

The Business Development Manager will lead the implementation of Majid Al Futtaim's retail discount store expansion plan across Saudi Arabia. You will identify new market opportunities, manage site selection and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute expansion plans, including site identification, feasibility studies, and lease negotiations.
• Conduct market evaluations, competitor analysis, and business justification for new locations.
• Oversee end‑to‑end project management, coordinating internal teams and external partners.
• Monitor project performance against KPIs, prepare regular management reports, and ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
• Develop policies and processes to improve profitability and productivity.
• Select and manage contractors and consultants, performing risk assessments and audits.
• Mentor and train team members, fostering a strong talent pipeline.
• Prepare periodic business reports and maintain alignment with corporate governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a managerial role, with at least 4 years in retail or a closely related industry.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive complex projects.
• Excellent negotiation skills for lease agreements and vendor relationships.
