About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Market Surveillance Analyst to join our team. The role involves monitoring market activities, analysing trends and anomalies, and providing actionable insights that support compliance and strategic decision‑making. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor market activities and detect unusual patterns, anomalies, or potential misconduct.
• Analyse market data, trading activities, and industry trends using quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Prepare analytical reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
• Conduct investigations into suspicious market activities and document findings.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of surveillance frameworks and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate records of surveillance activities and investigation outcomes.
• Recommend enhancements to surveillance processes and risk‑monitoring methodologies.
• Stay up‑to‑date with market developments, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Analytics or a related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in market surveillance, market analysis, compliance, financial services or a regulatory authority.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• High level of integrity and accuracy.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with data‑visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
