Marketing & Communications Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Assistant to join the Marketing and Communications team at Maiden Erlegh Trust (MET). The role supports a wide range of marketing and communications activities across MET and its schools, helping to plan, create and deliver high‑quality content and campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Support communications and marketing campaigns and projects from planning through delivery.
• Research, write, edit and proofread content for diverse audiences and channels.
• Identify stories and generate ideas from across MET and its schools.
• Create and maintain website, social media and other digital content.
• Assist with recruitment marketing, print, events and promotional activities.
• Develop and adapt marketing materials in line with brand guidelines.
• Coordinate content, approvals and deadlines to keep activities on track.
• Provide practical and administrative support to the Communications and Marketing function.

Required profile

• Excellent communicator with strong writing and proofreading abilities.
• Highly organised, conscientious and detail‑oriented.
• Creative, curious and confident to contribute ideas and conduct research.
• Proactive, reliable and adaptable.
• Professional and tactful, able to build positive relationships at all levels.
• Collaborative and willing to support colleagues when needed.
• Confident using digital tools and eager to develop further marketing skills.
• Relevant experience gained through employment, internship, volunteering or education.
• Experience with social media, websites or digital content creation is advantageous, as is a qualification in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field.
