Materials Manager – Warehouse & Logistics

About the role

The Materials Manager will oversee all warehouse, inventory and internal logistics activities at IMI Shipyard, ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials to support operations. This role combines strategic planning with hands‑on management to optimise storage, minimise shortages and uphold safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor daily warehouse activities in line with IMI policies and safety standards.
• Optimise storage space according to manufacturers' recommendations and best‑practice layout.
• Control inventory levels, preventing critical item shortages and ensuring accurate cycle counts.
• Measure and report on warehousing performance and third‑party service provider effectiveness.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline warehouse operations.
• Maintain compliance with safety, documentation retention and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct proactive field visits and use key tools to assure standards and resolve material issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, material management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in material management, warehouse or logistics roles.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills for fact‑based decision making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Arabic.
• Experience managing third‑party service providers.
