Materials Officer

About the role

The Materials Officer will oversee inventory management for Rotana Hotels & Resorts, ensuring that all materials required for hotel operations are available, accurately tracked, and stored safely. This role collaborates closely with suppliers, production, and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to monitor material levels.
• Coordinate with suppliers to guarantee timely deliveries and resolve order discrepancies.
• Work with production and logistics teams to forecast material needs and prevent shortages.
• Evaluate suppliers on quality, cost, and delivery performance to improve procurement.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and related data.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inventory management or materials handling.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills for dealing with suppliers and internal teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory management software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
