Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role you will provide mechanical engineering duties on a key project, delivering high‑quality engineering products.

Key responsibilities

• Independently develop and supervise the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements, including defining the problem, establishing scope, preparing budget and schedule, planning work, providing technical direction, and reporting status.
• Produce detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
• Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
• Give technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, designers, and lower‑level engineers working on the same project.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering experience, including at least 4 years in the public realm.
