Mechanical Engineer – Saudi Kayan

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will provide maintenance engineering expertise to ensure safe, reliable and cost‑effective performance of plant assets at the Saudi Kayan site. You will develop and optimise maintenance strategies, lead root‑cause investigations and drive reliability improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise equipment maintenance strategies to sustain high availability.
• Lead root‑cause analyses of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support maintenance planning, turnaround readiness and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all activities comply with EHSS policies, SHEM standards and regulatory requirements.
• Incorporate safety, health and environmental considerations into maintenance scopes and repair methods.
• Participate in incident investigations related to equipment failures and contribute to safety campaigns, audits and SHEM programs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maintenance engineering of plant assets.
• Strong knowledge of EHSS policies and SHEM standards.
• Ability to lead root‑cause investigations and drive reliability improvements.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to safety and regulatory compliance.
