Mechanical Estimation Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual requirements to identify the scope of mechanical works.
• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs and cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other relevant MEP works.
• Analyze project requirements and identify potential cost‑saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
• Prepare detailed material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost breakdowns.
• Request, evaluate, and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, commercial, and project teams to obtain accurate pricing and technical information.
• Identify discrepancies, omissions, and potential risks in tender documents and prepare relevant clarifications and qualifications.
• Develop and maintain cost databases, estimation records, and pricing benchmarks.
• Assist in preparing technical and commercial tender submissions in accordance with project requirements and deadlines.
• Support tender reviews, cost analysis, and post‑tender clarifications.
• Ensure estimates comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and company procedures.
