Medical Advisor – Oncology

About the role

The Medical Advisor – Oncology will provide scientific and medical expertise for a leading pharmaceutical company in Riyadh. The role supports clinical research, medical information exchange, and collaboration with key opinion leaders across the Saudi healthcare landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep scientific and medical knowledge in oncology.
• Facilitate scientific engagement, exchange, and provision of medical information to healthcare professionals.
• Deliver clinical presentations and respond to medical inquiries.
• Provide medical support for patients and formulary access in line with global and local policies.
• Support the planning, implementation, and completion of medical activities and initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and relevant organizations.
• Assist Marketing, Sales, and Regulatory teams on scientific and medical matters.
• Serve as a medical expert for internal training of medical and sales staff.
• Support clinical research, investigator‑initiated studies, and observational studies following SOPs and guidelines.
• Attend scientific meetings and conferences, and contribute to summaries, presentations, or symposiums.

Required profile

• Saudi national (due to Saudization requirements).
• Medical degree (MD), PharmD, or a relevant life‑science qualification.
• Minimum three years of experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven experience in Oncology Medical Affairs.
• Strong understanding of oncology therapeutic areas and the Saudi healthcare environment.
• Excellent scientific communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to engage effectively with external experts and internal stakeholders.
