Metrology / CMM Programmer

About the role

TRIGO, a global quality and inspection services provider with about 10,000 employees in 26 countries, is hiring a Metrology / CMM Programmer for its automotive activities in Jeddah. The role develops, optimizes, maintains and revises dimensional measurement programs based on CAD data, engineering drawings and inspection plans. It calls for strong hands-on experience in CMM programming, dimensional inspection, measurement strategy and CAD-to-measurement comparison.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, prove-out, optimize, maintain and revise CMM and dimensional measurement programs from CAD models, drawings and inspection plans
• Perform online and offline CMM programming according to equipment and software configuration
• Run measurement routines and validate dimensional results
• Prepare and issue detailed inspection reports
• Compare CAD to measurements and analyze dimensional deviations
• Support first-off inspection, launch activities, troubleshooting and serial production inspection
• Correlate CMM programs across machines and environments, and improve repeatability and reproducibility
• Optimize measurement strategies for accuracy, reliability and cycle time, and help reduce inspection bottlenecks
• Investigate dimensional issues with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and Dimensional teams
• Maintain programs after product, process, tooling or engineering changes, and ensure compliance with drawings, GD&T and customer requirements

Required profile

• Proven metrology / CMM programming experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing
• Fluent written and spoken English (mandatory)
• Strong experience developing and modifying CMM programs
• Experience with first-off, launch, troubleshooting and serial inspection
• Automotive launch experience highly valued

Required skills

• CAD, engineering drawings, GD&T, datum systems, tolerances and inspection plans
• Online and/or offline CMM programming
• CAD-to-measurement comparison and measurement system correlation
• Troubleshooting CMM programs and dimensional issues
