About the role

GMCO is looking for a motivated Mining Engineer to join its Mine Development team. You will be involved in the design, planning and execution of both open‑pit and underground mining projects, helping to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable operations.

Key responsibilities

Support the development of mine designs and detailed planning studies.
Assist in daily operational oversight to ensure production targets are met.
Monitor compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
Collaborate with geologists, engineers and other cross‑functional teams.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a higher qualification.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mining operations.
Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
Hands‑on, operationally ready attitude with a cooperative, diligent and team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

Computer modelling for mine design and planning.
