NDE Engineer – Non‑Destructive Testing Specialist

About the role

The NDE Engineer will lead the development and qualification of non‑destructive testing procedures, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards. This role involves selecting appropriate NDE techniques, interpreting results, and supporting equipment procurement to meet both company and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, qualify and approve NDE procedures and techniques.
• Interpret codes, standards, specifications and ensure they are applied correctly.
• Select and designate suitable NDE methods for each project.
• Analyze and evaluate NDE results against applicable standards.
• Establish acceptance criteria when none exist and assist in technique development.
• Review and purchase NDE equipment based on technical and customer needs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Certified Level III in ASNT, PCN, or an equivalent body for LPI, MPI and UT.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in non‑destructive testing.
• Strong knowledge of relevant product standards, technical codes and specifications.
• Excellent investigative and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.

Required skills

• ASNT Level III certification (or equivalent PCN).
• LPI, MPI and UT testing methods.
• Operation of NDE equipment and machines.
• Interpretation of industry codes and standards.
