NET Core Development Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced .NET Core Development Team Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of secure enterprise web applications within a government or highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will manage development teams, oversee technical delivery, establish software quality standards, and ensure solutions meet integration, cybersecurity, governance, and performance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development team, assign technical tasks, monitor delivery, and ensure high‑quality output.
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications using .NET Core and Microsoft technologies.
• Lead complex integrations using APIs, Web Services, REST, and SOAP.
• Oversee frontend development with Angular.
• Apply Agile/Scrum practices, support sprint planning and technical delivery management.
• Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and release processes.
• Design scalable distributed systems and micro‑services architecture, applying Domain‑Driven Design principles.
• Review code, enforce coding standards, and ensure adherence to security and quality best practices.
• Design and optimise SQL Server databases, data models, and system performance.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, business analysis, QA, DevOps, and project management teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in web application development with .NET Core and Microsoft technologies.
• At least 5 years leading software development teams and managing technical tasks.
• 3+ years working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• 10+ years of hands‑on Angular frontend development.
• Strong experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD implementation.
• Experience in government or financial institutions with high security and compliance requirements is highly preferred.
