Neurology Consultant – Clinical Leadership Role

About the role

The Neurology Consultant provides expert, evidence‑based neurological care, leading clinical practice within the Neurology service line at Bupa CareConnect. The role spans both virtual and on‑site settings, ensuring high‑quality patient outcomes and service development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments, diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions including headaches, epilepsy, stroke, movement disorders, neuropathies, demyelinating and neurodegenerative diseases.
• Interpret laboratory results, neuroimaging (MRI, CT) and electrophysiological studies (EEG, NCS/EMG) to inform treatment plans.
• Provide clinical leadership, develop pathways, protocols and SOPs, and support operational planning for continuous service coverage.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, accreditation (CBAHI, JCI) and participate in quality assurance, audits and incident management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, coordinate care with internal medicine, emergency, psychiatry, rehabilitation and primary care, and communicate effectively with referring physicians.

Required profile

• Qualified neurologist with experience in comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis and long‑term management of neurological disorders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead clinical teams, develop service pathways and support virtual care workflows.
• Familiarity with institutional governance, accreditation standards and quality improvement processes.

Required skills

• Interpretation of MRI and CT neuroimaging.
• Interpretation of EEG and NCS/EMG studies.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems for documentation and care coordination.
