Operating System Support – Containerization Platform Engineer

About the role

The Operating System Support – Containerization Platform Engineer will design, deploy and maintain containerised environments, ensuring secure and optimal performance for enterprise applications. The role works closely with development and operations teams to streamline container workflows and resolve technical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in deploying and configuring containerization platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Provide technical support to developers, users, and operations teams on container technologies.
• Troubleshoot issues related to containerized applications, networking, storage, and orchestration.
• Monitor container environments to identify bottlenecks and optimise resource usage.
• Implement monitoring tools for container health, performance and logging.
• Apply security best practices and conduct security audits in containerised environments.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to manage, deploy and scale containerised applications.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerised applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with containerisation, orchestration and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of containerised application architecture and deployment best practices.
• Experience monitoring container performance, resource utilisation and troubleshooting.

Required skills

• Docker and Kubernetes (or similar orchestration tools).
• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Scripting and automation using Bash, Python, Ansible.
• Security best practices for containers, including image and network security.
• Logging, monitoring and metrics collection tools for containerised applications.
