Operation Specialist

About the role

JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company offering air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and related services. The Operation Specialist position is based in Dammam and aims to improve operational accuracy through daily reporting, goal analysis and reconciliation of documents and customers against the company system, while improving operations efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Handle consolidation of operation and transportation documents (booking, bill of lading, pre-advice, loading confirmation).
• Manage import and export bookings according to the booking log sheet, coordinating with Customer Services and the JAS origin station and maintaining the routing guide.
• Apply the executive co-loader policy within group policy, and review and measure co-loader performance.
• Ensure accurate hub billing and job costing, monitor cost leadership for cost of sales and carry out rate analysis.
• Monitor and secure allocations and operation efficiency.
• Keep supervisors informed of transportation issues to be solved by origin offices or customers, including capacity planning matters.
• Create operation reports.

Required profile

• Intermediate level of knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of standard and accepted runner practices.
• At least 2 years of experience in the same position.
• Open, confident communication and the ability to influence others to agree.
• Pragmatic decision-making, involving stakeholders and generating timely solutions.
