Order Taker

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and efficient Order Taker to join our restaurant team in Riyadh. In this customer‑facing position you will be the first point of contact for diners, taking their food and beverage orders accurately and ensuring a smooth dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and greet walk‑in customers promptly and professionally.
• Take detailed food and beverage orders and enter them into the restaurant’s order management system.
• Communicate orders clearly with kitchen staff to guarantee accuracy.
• Provide menu recommendations, answer questions about ingredients and preparation, and upsell additional items when appropriate.
• Handle customer inquiries, special requests, and complaints with patience and professionalism.
• Process payments, manage cash transactions and ensure accurate billing.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with teammates during peak periods to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven customer service experience, preferably in hospitality or food service.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with order management systems.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) software.
• Basic math for handling financial transactions.
