PDI Technician – Pre‑Delivery Inspection

About the role

The Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician ensures every new vehicle leaving the dealership meets the highest mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic standards. Working under strict OEM checklists, you act as the final quality gate before handover, directly influencing customer satisfaction and brand reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive PDI on all new vehicles following OEM check sheets and dealership procedures.
• Verify mechanical systems, electrical functions, fluid levels, battery health, software status, and overall cosmetic condition.
• Activate, configure, and update infotainment, telematics, connected services, and OEM software as required.
• Identify and document any transit damage, manufacturing defects, or missing components.
• Execute minor rectifications on‑site and coordinate major repairs with workshop supervisors and related teams.
• Install approved accessories, confirm fitment and functionality, and conduct final road tests.
• Maintain accurate PDI records, defect logs, and accessory installation reports in the Dealer Management System.

Required profile

• Experience in automotive inspection or service environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to zero‑defect delivery.
• Ability to work efficiently under dealership delivery timelines.
• Good coordination skills with body shop, parts, and accessories teams.
