Personal Data Protection Officer (PDPO)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Personal Data Protection Officer (PDPO) to lead our data privacy initiatives and ensure compliance with Saudi and international regulations. The PDPO will act as the main point of contact for data protection matters, guiding the organization through risk assessments, policy development, and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain data protection policies and procedures aligned with local (PDPL, NDMO) and international (GDPR) standards.
• Monitor data processing activities, conduct regular audits and risk assessments, and identify vulnerabilities.
• Prepare and maintain documentation such as Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and data processing registers.
• Serve as the primary liaison for staff, stakeholders and regulatory authorities on privacy inquiries and incidents.
• Deliver training and awareness programs on data protection and privacy for employees.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure appropriate technical and organizational safeguards are in place.
• Report compliance status, breaches and remediation actions to senior management and relevant authorities.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in data protection, risk management or information security.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Professional certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) are a plus.
• In‑depth knowledge of Saudi data protection legislation (PDPL, NDMO) and international standards (GDPR).
