Pharmacy Procurement Manager

About the role

The Pharmacy Procurement Manager will lead pharmaceutical purchasing, supplier management, and inventory optimisation across a network of pharmacies and medical complexes. This role focuses on driving profitability, reducing costs, and ensuring product availability in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies that support growth and improve margins.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, rebates, contracts and payment terms.
• Optimise inventory levels, reduce expiries and improve stock turnover.
• Lead category‑management initiatives to enhance sales and profitability.
• Analyse supplier and product performance to make data‑driven decisions.
• Collaborate with medical, finance, operations and marketing teams.
• Ensure compliance with SFDA regulations and internal policies.
• Prepare procurement reports, KPIs and support team development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (mandatory).
• 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement, preferably within pharmacy chains or healthcare organisations.
• Strong supplier network and negotiation track record in Saudi Arabia.
• Advanced skills in inventory management and demand forecasting.
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems and procurement platforms.
• Preferred: MBA in Finance, Supply Chain or Operations; experience in medical complexes or specialty clinics.
