Planning Manager – High‑Rise Construction Projects

About the role

The Planning Manager will lead the planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting for major high‑rise construction projects. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that project timelines, contractual milestones and delivery dates are met through rigorous schedule control.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Master Baseline Programme for high‑rise projects, covering design, procurement, mobilisation, structure, façade, MEP, finishes, testing, commissioning and hand‑over.
• Establish the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activity coding and detailed Level‑3 to Level‑5 schedules, including resource‑ and cost‑loaded versions where required.
• Review and approve subcontractor and supplier programmes, ensuring full integration with the overall baseline.
• Monitor actual progress against the baseline, collect validated site data, and produce weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Identify deviations, analyse critical‑path impacts, conduct Time Impact Analyses and support extension‑of‑time claims.
• Develop recovery and acceleration plans when schedules slip, and communicate risks and corrective actions to project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading planning activities on large‑scale, high‑rise construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction phases, from design approvals to commissioning and hand‑over.
• Ability to coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction, MEP and subcontractor teams.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with a focus on data accuracy and risk identification.
