Planning Manager – Services

About the role

The Planning Manager – Services will lead planning, scheduling and control of service and manufacturing activities across Oil & Gas, motors, transformers and industrial production. The role ensures optimal use of manpower, materials, workshop capacity and equipment while meeting delivery dates and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop master and detailed plans for service, repair, overhaul, testing and manufacturing tasks.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and long‑term workload and capacity forecasts.
• Prioritise work based on customer commitments, equipment criticality, material availability and workshop capacity.
• Coordinate schedules for Oil & Gas equipment, motors, transformers and manufacturing jobs.
• Monitor progress versus plan, issue recovery actions and maintain accurate delivery forecasts.
• Plan manpower requirements by trade, skill, workshop and project, and allocate resources with production, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Identify capacity constraints and recommend overtime, outsourcing or re‑allocation.
• Review Bills of Materials, spare‑part needs and material availability; coordinate with procurement and stores.
• Track all active jobs from receipt to dispatch, conduct planning meetings and issue progress reports highlighting risks and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production Engineering or a related field.
• Professional certification such as PMP or Primavera P6 is preferred.
• Experience in planning and scheduling within an industrial or service environment.
