Power BI Developer / Data Visualization Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Power BI Developer / Data Visualization Specialist to turn complex data sets into clear, actionable visual insights. The role is fully remote and will support business stakeholders across the organization by delivering interactive dashboards that highlight performance, trends and opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced Power BI dashboards and reports using a variety of visualizations such as charts, maps, slicers, heat maps and custom visuals.
• Perform complex DAX calculations, including aggregate, date, logical, string and table‑level functions.
• Connect Power BI to multiple data sources, ensuring efficient and reliable data extraction.
• Clean, transform and model data to guarantee accuracy, consistency and optimal performance.
• Create and maintain custom visuals and grouped reporting structures to enhance usability.
• Collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into intuitive dashboards.
• Support continuous improvement of reporting frameworks and visualization standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or Data Visualization Specialist.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Required skills

• Power BI (dashboard development, data modeling, report optimization).
• DAX for advanced calculations.
• SQL Server (2012+ preferred, 2016+ ideal) and solid SQL querying skills.
• Experience building custom visuals and grouped dashboard components.
