About the role

We are looking for experienced tax preparers to join Jackson Hewitt for a seasonal, temporary position. You will work flexible hours helping individuals file their federal and state tax returns while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual income tax returns using tax preparation software.
• Apply current tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate filings.
• Provide clear explanations of tax concepts to clients and answer their questions.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to company policies.
• Assist with the enrollment and support of clients throughout the filing process.

Required profile

• At least two tax seasons of experience preparing individual tax returns.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Willingness to learn and adapt; accounting, finance, bookkeeping or sales experience is a plus.
