Pre‑Sales Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Pre‑Sales Design Engineer with 5‑10 years of experience in renewable energy and electrical engineering. The role focuses on preparing technical proposals, conducting engineering studies, and supporting business development for utility‑scale and C&I solar PV, BESS, and hybrid power projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, specifications, BOQs and drawings.
• Conduct site surveys and technical assessments.
• Attend client meetings and technical clarification sessions.
• Develop preliminary engineering documents such as single‑line diagrams, general arrangement drawings, plant layouts and 3D SketchUp models.
• Perform electrical load analysis and prepare load schedules for LV (400 V) to MV (33 kV) systems.
• Design grid‑connected, off‑grid and hybrid solar PV systems using industry‑standard software.
• Size and design Battery Energy Storage Systems, including battery selection, PCS sizing, EMS integration and container layouts.
• Create hybrid energy models that integrate solar PV, BESS, diesel generators and grid power.
• Review utility interconnection requirements and Saudi standards.
• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, project schedules and detailed technical proposals.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in renewable energy, electrical engineering or related fields.
• Strong technical knowledge of utility‑scale and C&I solar PV, BESS and hybrid power systems.
• Familiarity with Saudi utility interconnection rules and standards.
