Principal Designer – Engineering Leadership

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Designer to lead advanced engineering design activities within KBR Engineering Inc’s Saudi Arabia operations. Reporting under general supervision, you will independently apply sophisticated engineering techniques, make critical decisions on design problems, and represent the company at industry conferences and negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Apply advanced engineering methods to develop and optimise design solutions.
• Make autonomous decisions on engineering problems and methodological approaches.
• Represent KBR in conferences, resolving technical questions and negotiating with external engineers and officials.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and less‑experienced engineers.
• Manage measurable assets, including assigned staff and budgetary responsibilities.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering (any discipline).
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering design experience, with an average of 10 + years.
• Proven ability to work independently and influence technical decisions.
• Experience presenting technical information to senior stakeholders.
