Process Engineer – Baggage Handling Systems

About the role

The Process Engineer will monitor and analyze the performance of the baggage handling system (BHS), operational processes, and maintenance activities at Dammam Airport. Using operational data, the engineer will identify problems, determine root causes, prepare clear reports and dashboards, and support practical improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Define and monitor key operational performance indicators.
• Prepare performance reports and dashboards.
• Analyze system data to identify bottlenecks, recurring issues, and root causes.
• Recommend and implement improvements to systems, processes, and maintenance activities.
• Share findings and improvement actions with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Develop practical solutions to improve productivity, reliability, and service quality.
• Prepare process documents, procedures, and operating instructions.
• Allocate improvement opportunities and track actions, measuring results.
• Support the operations manager with insights about system and stakeholder performance.
• Coach system operators and stakeholders on SOPs and best practices.

Required profile

• Adequate knowledge and experience in BHS.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least three years leading Six Sigma or DMAIC improvement projects.
• At least two years in process engineering, business analysis, data analysis, or performance reporting.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Splunk.
• Good understanding of databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of process‑mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
