Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Procurement Engineer will lead the acquisition of technical equipment for industrial operations, working closely with design teams to ensure that all manufacturing and construction projects are supplied with the right assets on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers to define equipment specifications and required quantities.
• Research, evaluate and select vendors, negotiate terms and place purchase orders.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that maximise value and support the company’s business plan.
• Provide market insights and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain up‑to‑date supplier, material and service information.
• Support senior leaders in setting short‑ and long‑term procurement objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement through best‑practice policies, processes and performance metrics.
• Coach and mentor the procurement team to build expertise and retain talent.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years overall work experience, with at least 5 years in a relevant procurement role.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering.
• Experience in GCC markets is a plus.
