Procurement Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

Esnad Contracting Company is looking for a Procurement Manager to lead the acquisition of materials, equipment, services and subcontractors for its construction projects. The role ensures quality, cost‑effectiveness and timely delivery to support project success and company objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
• Manage procurement of construction materials, equipment, machinery and services.
• Establish and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships, evaluating performance regularly.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and commercial agreements to achieve best value.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering and Cost Control to ensure timely procurement.
• Oversee supplier and subcontractor pre‑qualification, evaluation and approval processes.
• Monitor procurement KPIs, identify efficiency improvements and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Track market trends and material pricing to support strategic purchasing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and applicable regulations.
• Manage inventory levels in coordination with relevant departments.
• Prepare periodic procurement reports and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Lead, mentor and develop the procurement team.
• Participate in budget preparation, procurement planning and sourcing strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven experience in the construction industry, especially roads, infrastructure or building projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract management, supply chain operations and supplier pre‑qualification.
• Advanced negotiation, analytical and decision‑making abilities.
