Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring a continuous, cost‑effective supply of goods and services that meet quality and lead‑time expectations. This role drives market research, competitive benchmarking and supplier negotiations while aligning with company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and recommend the procurement budget, analyse financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Oversee purchasing of materials and services, ensuring adequate supply and timely receipt.
• Review and optimise purchase ordering processes to control costs within budgetary constraints.
• Manage payment terms to improve cash flow and negotiate favourable supplier contracts.
• Develop and report on key metrics that measure purchasing cycles and supplier performance.
• Implement vendor‑management best practices, maintain a comprehensive supplier database and rationalise preferred vendors.
• Establish supplier performance metrics, conduct comparative analyses and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead RFQ/RFP events, evaluate new suppliers and ensure compliance with quality and contract terms.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing or supply‑chain management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor budgets and financial performance.
• Excellent relationship‑building capabilities across internal functions and external vendors.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, contract management and vendor‑performance measurement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with legal and stakeholder teams.
