Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will support the organisation by sourcing, evaluating and managing suppliers to ensure cost‑effective and reliable delivery of goods and services. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers.
• Request quotes, compare prices and negotiate contracts to maximise ROI.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and monitor performance.
• Track inventory, delivery times and verify that all goods received match purchase orders.
• Update and manage the supplier database, including qualifications, delivery schedules and invoicing records.
• Analyse vendor capabilities for future project needs and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on contracts, invoicing and other financial matters.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase procurement efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field (essential).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Ability to work sensitively with people from diverse cultures.
• Organisational skills with a focus on accurate record‑keeping.
