Procurement Officer

About the role

Rooqain Trading LLC is seeking a Procurement Officer to join its Al Khobar office. The role will oversee the full purchasing cycle for project‑critical materials, equipment and power solutions, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers, request and assess quotations for project materials and equipment.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and service level agreements with local and international vendors.
• Issue, track and reconcile purchase orders, ensuring alignment with delivery schedules and invoicing.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage any issues to maintain quality and schedule adherence.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and analyse purchasing data to support cost optimisation.
• Coordinate closely with project, logistics and finance teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.
• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in end‑to‑end procurement, supplier selection and contract negotiation.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate quotations and optimise costs.
• Experience in trading, construction, energy, industrial or power‑solutions sectors is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on‑site in Al Khobar and manage multiple procurement requests simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with attention to detail.
• A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or a related field; professional procurement certifications are a plus.
