Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist supports the operational procurement activities of the ICP Program, ensuring that purchase orders are executed on time, vendors are coordinated effectively, and program requirements are met. Working closely with the Procurement & Contract Manager and other internal teams, the specialist helps maintain accurate records and compliance with ASAS policies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day procurement tasks, including creating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and coordinating with vendors.
• Prepare and submit procurement documentation in line with ASAS policies.
• Communicate with vendors about order status, delivery schedules, and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain records of supplier interactions.
• Collaborate with Contract Specialists to align procurement actions with contractual terms.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with program guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Provide status updates, reports, and dashboards to the Procurement & Contract Manager.
• Coordinate with Finance & Accounting for payment approvals and support program units with procurement queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, supply‑chain operations, or project‑based purchasing.
• Familiarity with purchase order management, vendor communication, and procurement documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Arabic and English.
