Procurement Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Supervisor to lead the sourcing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment for our manufacturing operations. The role ensures timely, cost‑effective purchases while maintaining quality standards and supporting the finance team with supplier payments. You will collaborate closely with the finance, quality and operations teams to ensure seamless supply chain performance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and interview vendors, negotiate prices, terms and conditions.
• Coordinate with accounts payable to ensure on‑time supplier payments and report aged payments.
• Monitor and report departmental KPIs, analyse deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date supplier records, price matrix and supplier evaluation reports.
• Develop and enforce procurement strategies, policies and purchase‑order compliance.
• Maintain a minimum of three approved suppliers per item and manage risk of price increases or shortages.
• Update and maintain the price matrix on a monthly basis.
• Highlight risks of price increase or material shortage due to supplier issues.
• Track purchase orders, ensure timely delivery and resolve quality, delivery or service issues.
• Support audits, close open items and work with auditors professionally.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and report savings.
• Conduct annual supplier evaluations and keep proper documentation.
• Handle vendor grievances and claims.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5–8 years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing (packaging or similar).
• Experience with both local and foreign purchasing processes, including work in Saudi Arabia.
• Proven ability to analyse data, develop specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials and drive cost‑reduction programs.

Required skills

• Negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, KPI tracking and audit processes.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and reporting.
