Product Quality Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Product Quality Engineer to join a leading integrated refining and petrochemical operation in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity and regulatory compliance of refined and petrochemical products throughout the production process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance and control procedures for refined and petrochemical products.
• Monitor product quality parameters such as viscosity, density, flash point, distillation characteristics and chemical composition.
• Conduct laboratory testing, sample analysis and product inspections to verify compliance with internal specifications and industry standards.
• Investigate off‑spec products, perform root‑cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with process engineers and production teams to optimise operating conditions and improve product quality.
• Analyse quality trends, prepare technical reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Work with suppliers to ensure raw material quality and support customers in resolving product quality concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality, environmental, safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Provide training to operations personnel on quality procedures and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of product quality assurance experience in the refining or petrochemical industry.
• Strong understanding of refined and petrochemical product specifications and relevant regulations.
• Proven ability to conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
