Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor will lead daily operations on the food production line, ensuring that output targets are met while upholding the highest standards of food safety, quality, and workplace safety. This role reports to the Production Manager and works closely with maintenance, warehouse, and QA/QC teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities and assign tasks to operators.
• Ensure production plans and targets are achieved on time and efficiently.
• Monitor equipment, processes, and KPIs (output, efficiency, waste, downtime) and resolve issues.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and company standards.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to minimise machine downtime.
• Work with Warehouse to secure raw‑material and packaging availability.
• Oversee cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping of production areas.
• Investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Train, coach, and evaluate production staff.
• Prepare daily production reports and communicate performance to the Production Manager.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce waste.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production.
• Previous experience supervising production teams (preferred).
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to work in shifts when required.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of GMP.
• Good knowledge of HACCP.
• Food safety and hygiene expertise.
• Understanding of production processes and manufacturing equipment.
