Project Architect – Design Implementation

About the role

Maamor is looking for a Design Implementation Architect who will act as the design guardian on-site, ensuring that all construction and FF&E works are executed exactly as intended. The role bridges design and execution, collaborating closely with contractors, suppliers and internal teams to protect design integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that all on-site work matches issued drawings, materials and design intent.
• Review contractor shop drawings, flag deviations and coordinate required adjustments with the design team.
• Conduct regular site inspections, report inconsistencies and respond to RFIs in partnership with the design office.
• Supervise installation of furniture, lighting and accessories, ensuring correct placement, alignment and finishing.
• Coordinate delivery schedules, verify site conditions before installation and approve mock-ups and samples.
• Provide structured weekly reports covering progress versus design, issues, risks and required decisions.
• Validate that executed work aligns with approved BOQ quantities, review contractor invoices and flag discrepancies to prevent overbilling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• 4–8 years of experience in fit-out or interior projects.
• Strong understanding of FF&E detailing and installation.
• Proven experience in site supervision and contractor coordination.
• Ability to review drawings, shop drawings and BOQs with attention to detail.
