Project Control Manager

About the role

AECOM is looking for a senior Project Control Manager to lead planning, scheduling, cost control and risk management for a large rail project in Riyadh. The role will coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for the rail project.
• Monitor project progress against approved baselines, identify delays and propose recovery plans.
• Establish and operate project cost control systems, prepare Earned Value Analysis (EVM) reports and manage cash‑flow forecasts.
• Create KPI dashboards, produce weekly and monthly progress reports and present status to senior stakeholders.
• Maintain risk registers, conduct quantitative risk assessments and lead change‑management processes.
• Support commercial teams in evaluating claims, change orders and contractual implications.
• Lead, mentor and develop Project Controls Engineers, Planners and Cost Engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 18 years of project‑controls experience, including at least 10 years in a leadership role on large‑scale rail or transportation infrastructure projects.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, PMI‑SP, AACE CCP or PRINCE2 are preferred.
