Project Manager – Complex Engineering Projects

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead highly complex engineering and construction projects, including high‑rise and vertical construction initiatives. The role oversees the full project lifecycle, from concept through closeout, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multi‑disciplinary engineering projects with national geographic scope, including high‑rise building systems and vertical construction.
• Direct engineering coordination, technical documentation, scheduling, and cost controls across the project lifecycle.
• Exercise consenting and regulatory authority for technical and administrative approvals, ensuring building code compliance.
• Supervise and mentor other Project Managers, upholding project management controls (PMC) standards.
• Develop and implement project controls strategies such as earned value management, risk assessment, and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience in engineering, construction, or related infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record managing multiple complex, multi‑disciplinary projects with national reach.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Preferred PMP or equivalent certification; PE license is a plus.
