Project Manager – Oil Spill & Coastal Remediation

About the role

Euro Group Engineering Consultancy is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead oil‑spill response and coastal soil remediation projects in Saudi Arabia. The role combines client‑facing consultancy, field investigation, remedial design and implementation oversight, ensuring compliance with local regulations and successful ecological recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary client‑facing Project Manager from mobilization through closeout for oil‑spill and coastal remediation assignments.
• Prepare, submit and manage work plans, implementation schedules and critical‑path milestones.
• Design and review field investigation programs, including SCAT‑modified surveys, LiDAR integration, transect/pit networks, sampling SOPs, QA/QC and chain‑of‑custody procedures.
• Develop remedial design packages with drawings, GIS maps, HSSE plans, waste‑handling methodology and detailed BOQs.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring programs, liaise with accredited laboratories and ensure compliance with KSA requirements.
• Supervise remediation contractors during field trials, rapid ecological assessments, surveys and active remediation, verifying protection measures.
• Integrate historical and monitoring data to evaluate alternatives and produce technical justifications.
• Prepare technical memoranda, presentations and workshops in English and Arabic, and lead after‑action reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Marine/Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Professional certification such as PMP or equivalent.
• Recognized oil‑spill and incident management training (IMO/OSR, ICS) and HSE certification.
• Proven experience in oil‑spill response and coastal/shoreline soil remediation.
