Protection Engineer – Electrical

About the role

AlFanar is seeking a Protection Engineer to lead a team responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of protection systems for low, medium, and high voltage electrical products. The role combines technical expertise with people management to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Train, coach, and supervise sub‑ordinates, delegating tasks to maintain morale and motivation.
• Plan and execute activities to meet operational and development targets within schedule and budget.
• Prepare periodic reports highlighting deviations and progress of planned tasks.
• Identify and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
• Develop and enforce quality control processes, specifications, and documentation.
• Coordinate written systems, policies, and procedures while seeking automation opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in protection engineering or related fields.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects.
