Public Area Attendant

About the role

The Public Area Attendant ensures that all guest‑accessible spaces at Raffles The Red Sea are immaculate, welcoming, and safe. Working in a luxury, five‑star environment, you will support the housekeeping team by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and providing discreet guest assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and present public areas such as lobbies, lounges, corridors, elevators, restrooms, restaurants, and meeting rooms.
• Monitor spaces continuously, addressing any cleanliness or presentation issues promptly.
• Stock and arrange amenities in public restrooms, keeping them fresh and orderly.
• Greet guests politely, respond to requests related to cleanliness, and coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisors for urgent needs.
• Follow approved cleaning procedures, chemical usage guidelines, and equipment handling protocols.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
• Assist with deep‑cleaning projects, event setups, and lost‑and‑found handling as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping or public‑area cleaning in a luxury or five‑star hotel is preferred.
• Basic training in cleaning techniques and equipment usage is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and good time‑management skills.
• Neat, well‑groomed appearance with a discreet, service‑oriented attitude.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
