About the role
The Purchasing Assistant will support Gulfwest Co. Ltd.’s procurement operations in Jeddah, ensuring timely and accurate supply of food and beverage products. This position requires a detail‑oriented and proactive individual who can collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to keep the supply chain running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers.
- Prepare purchase orders, quotations, and related documentation.
- Track deliveries, shipments, and inventory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate demand planning.
- Maintain supplier records, pricing lists, and procurement files.
- Follow up on pending orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Support the Purchasing Manager in daily procurement tasks.
Required profile
- Saudi national (mandatory).
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow‑through.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
