Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

The Purchasing Coordinator supports the food and beverage operations at Le Méridien Towers Makkah by managing inventory, processing invoices, and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries. This full‑time position works closely with the kitchen, suppliers, and the procurement team to maintain optimal stock levels and uphold food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and costs.
• Maintain organized records, post invoices, and reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports.
• Conduct inventory audits, complete requisition forms, and monitor PAR levels.
• Receive, unload, and process deliveries; reject damaged or incorrect items.
• Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee return processes.
• Adhere to food safety and handling policies across all food‑related areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete required safety training.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams and external suppliers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience in procurement, inventory, or food services.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lb and work in varied physical conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer programs for invoicing and inventory tracking.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) or inventory management systems.
