Purchasing Coordinator – Materials & Supplier Management

About the role

The Purchasing Coordinator ensures the timely procurement of raw materials and supplies, supporting production and logistics operations. This role acts as the main liaison between internal departments, suppliers, and logistics teams to guarantee smooth material flow.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the monthly Material Requirement Plan (MRP) and generate purchase orders for approved items.
• Send purchase orders to suppliers and follow up on order confirmations and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with the Central Logistics Department to obtain freight quotations and clear shipments.
• Work with the Import/Export department to issue required shipment certificates (e.g., Saber, FASAH, Value Chains).
• Submit invoices to the accounting department promptly and track supplier payments.
• Raise claims for missing or non‑conforming materials, providing supporting documentation.
• Monitor customs duty exemptions for raw materials and manage inter‑company material transfers (TR).
• Prepare monthly procurement reports and ad‑hoc analyses as needed.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply‑chain coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple supplier relationships.
• Good understanding of logistics processes and customs documentation.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholder coordination.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) processes.
• Familiarity with purchase order creation and supplier follow‑up.
• Understanding of freight quotation handling and customs duty exemption procedures.
