Purchasing Officer – Jeddah

About the role

The Purchasing Department is seeking an experienced professional to manage daily procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, equipment and peripherals required by the company in Jeddah.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare local purchase orders by comparing quotations, verifying user recommendations and ensuring compliance with SCM procedures.
• Coordinate with requesting departments to clarify requirements, collect specifications and forward documents to suppliers promptly.
• Arrange samples and catalogues from the local market to obtain competitive pricing and deliver them to end‑users on time.
• Negotiate prices and terms with vendors, write purchase specifications and manage the receiving process to verify quality and quantity.
• Collaborate with the financial manager to maintain positive cash flow and compile information for purchase order preparation.
• Search inventory records, consult catalogs and suppliers to obtain prices, write purchase orders and compute total costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Strong negotiation abilities and familiarity with current product prices.
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic a plus) and ability to work extended hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with purchasing or supply‑chain databases.
• Computer literacy and ability to draft purchase orders.
• Valid driving licence.
