About the role
The Purchasing Specialist supports the sourcing and procurement function by collecting data, conducting analyses, and executing buying strategies for both indirect and direct items. The role focuses on cost reduction, process improvement, and maintaining high‑quality product and service delivery within the Saudi market.
Key responsibilities
- Procure inventory, supplies, capital goods and place purchase orders with vendors.
- Analyze sourcing initiatives, prepare value capture summaries and present improvement recommendations to senior leaders.
- Apply sourcing policies, conduct price benchmarking, vendor management and market research.
- Support contract negotiations, gather information for larger contracts and manage compliance documentation.
- Maintain Ariba invoice‑against‑contract processes and assist with low‑complexity sourcing work under supervision.
- Provide data and market intelligence for Six Sigma projects and interact with suppliers regarding payments and order fulfillment.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the Saudi market.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience with indirect purchasing for a Saudi organization and direct purchasing for service businesses.
- Basic understanding of Cummins engines and power systems and ability to interpret technical information.
- Fluent Arabic speaker.
