QA/QC Architectural Engineer – Construction Quality Assurance

About the role

The QA/QC Architectural Engineer ensures that all architectural works are executed in line with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, client requirements, and the company’s Quality Management System. The role supports the implementation of quality assurance and control procedures throughout the construction phase.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect architectural works to verify compliance with shop drawings, specifications, method statements and building codes.
• Conduct inspections of finishes, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, painting, ceilings, doors, windows, façade works and other elements.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), checklists and quality documentation.
• Monitor construction activities against the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans and company procedures.
• Identify, document and report non‑conformities (NCRs) and verify corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and site engineers during inspections and approvals.
• Review architectural materials for compliance before installation.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results and approvals.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and support implementation of findings.
• Assist in investigating quality issues and propose improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged; up to 2 years of QA/QC or construction experience is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of QA/QC principles, inspection procedures and quality documentation.
• Familiarity with architectural finishes, construction methods, project specifications, shop drawings and relevant building codes.
• Understanding of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
• Immediate availability is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
