QA/QC Civil Engineer – Saudi Energy Approval Preferred

About the role

The QA/QC Civil Engineer will lead quality assurance and control activities for civil works on alfanar Construction projects in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures compliance with client specifications, international standards, and internal quality management procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Alfanar Quality Management System (QMS) and develop project‑specific quality plans, inspection test plans (ITP) and related documents.
• Conduct inspections and testing of civil works, materials, and equipment, ensuring conformity with PTS, IFC drawings and approved method statements.
• Maintain quality records, including logbooks, weekly QA/QC reports, NCRs and verification of test results.
• Coordinate with the execution team, project management, clients, consultants and independent testing laboratories to resolve QC issues.
• Prepare and submit quality reports to the TQM department and project manager, and support the implementation of the Alfanar Lesson‑Learned programme.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in civil QA/QC within EPC projects.
• Familiarity with Saudi Energy approvals and relevant national/international standards.
• Ability to train and lead junior staff, and to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• MS Office proficiency.
• Quality Management System (QMS) implementation.

• Preparation of ITP, MOS, checklists and QA/QC reports.
